enhance Pitta and Kapha dosas, subside Vata dosa, heavy to digest and hot in

| Sour fruits |
| |
| Kola, Karkandhu, Lakuca, Amrata, Aruka,
Airavata, Danta Satha, Tuda and Mrgalindika (Vibhitaka) are sour in taste when
ripe and do not enhance much of the Pitta dosa. Same are the qualities of
Karamardaka when dried.

|
| Dry fruits |
|
| When Amlika (tamarind) and Kola are dried, they act as
appetizers and very mild laxatives. They pacify thirst, tiredness and sensual
exhaustion. They are easy to digest and maintain the balance of Kapha and
Vatadosas.
