General qualities of meats 
 Meats of Maha Mrga like Varaha are cooling in potency and action. Meats of Kravyada (non vegetarian animals) and Prasaha (horse, camel etc.)
are slightly saltish, pungent in post digestive effect, promote muscle tissue and are highly useful for patients suffering from chronic haemorrhoids, defective digestion and absorption and chronic emaciation.
 Meat of a domestic sparrow
  Meat of a domestic sparrow promotes Kapha dosa and increases fat and muscle tissue. It pacifies Vata disa and potentially increases Sukradhatu (semen).
Qualities of goat meat
Goat’s meat is moderatery cooking, heavy to digest, promotes fat and muscle tissue. It doesn’t vitiate dosas. Because of its similarities with human tissues it doesn’t obstruct the channels or does not increase the secretions and nourishes the body.
Meat of sheep
Meat of sheep has got opposite qualities to that of goat. But it too nourishes the body very much.
Meat of a cow
Meat of a fowl too has similar qualities to that of a peacock. Specifically, that of a wild fowl is aphrodisiac and that of a dimestic fowl is heavy to digest and promotes Kapha dosa.
Meat of a buffaloe
