It is indicated in persons debilitated because of emaciation due to injuries, eruptive skin, weapon wounds and burns. It cures Vata and pitta diseases, poisons, psychosis, tuberculosis, inauspiciousness, and fever. Ghee is considered the best amongs all the varieties of Sneha (oils and fats). It is cooling and provides lengthy span of life. Its grade of potency is infinite. Properly ghee is therapeutically useful in many ways. |

Qualities of Honey :

| Honey is beneficial for eyes, expectorant and pacifies thirst, Kapha vitiation, poisonous effects, hiccough, haemorrhages, diabetes or hyperglycaemia, skin diseases, worm infestations, vomiting, dyspnoea, cough and diarrhoea. Honey cleanses and heals ulcers. It aggravates Vata dosa, dries up the body secretions, and astringent and sweet in taste. Madhu Sarkara i.e. sugar sedimeted in a vessel of hone is also equal to honey in all aspects.
Note : Honey is collected by Honey bees in wild from many poisonous and non-poisonous flowers. These poisons are in inactive form. If honey is heated, they may be activated and cause trouble.

| Qualities of any oil are similar to that of their source. Among all the oils, Tila taila or gingely oil is considered very important. This oil is very sharp (activates the bodily functions), spreads or enters the circulation very fast, shows negative impact on the skin and eyes, penetrating (into the tissues even through the skin), heat generating and doesn’t enhance Kaphadosa. |
